I am a writer, editor and producer with a strong ethical and editorial instinct. I believe that language matters and that critical thought should be nurtured and heard. I produce podcasts and radio shows. I also write and edit texts. As an author, I am represented by Tristan Kendrick at Rogers Coleridge and White. My debut book is under contract with ICON Books.
I have worked extensively across conversation and interview shows at BBC Radio 4, the BBC World Service and in the independent sector, and now work for The Sociological Review Foundation and other academic clients. My writing has been published by The Times Literary Supplement, Lit Hub, New Humanist, Prospect, Monocle and Geographical magazine.

A speech audio producer and journalist, experienced in producing content and programmes for BBC Radio 4, the BBC World Service, and independent production companies (Whistledown, Somethin’ Else, Novel). I have worked extensively to produce interviews with established voices - among them Richard Sennett, Lionel Shriver - but specialise in, and relish, working with new and emerging writers and researchers. I take great care to manage expectations and to train and nurture new voices, mindful of the pressures and challenges of appearing on air for the first time in a world where some voices are heard more loudly than others.
At BBC Radio 4, drawing on my specialism in critical social and political sciences, and my love of arts and humanities, I was a producer for the flagship sociology show ‘Thinking Allowed’, hosted by Prof. Laurie Taylor. I was also a long-term producer of the global ideas show ‘The Forum’ for the BBC World Service. There, I pitched and delivered episodes on thinkers including James Baldwin, Chinua Achebe and Henry David Thoreau. I have also worked on programmes including arts shows ‘Front Row’ and ‘The Cultural Frontline’, ideas shows such as ‘Start the Week’, ‘In Our Time’, topical shows such as ‘Woman’s Hour’ and ‘Pienaar’s Politics’, and the human interest shows ‘Last Word’ and ‘Outlook’.
Recently, I have worked extensively with sociologists, mainly at The Sociological Review, to communicate their work and ideas. This has included developing and exec producing the popular podcast ‘Uncommon Sense’, and collaborating closely with the leading anti-poverty activist scholar Imogen Tyler to create and script her series 'The Stigma Conversations', feat. academics, activists and frontline workers (largely from North West England) talking about issues incl. poverty, welfare and anti-racism.

I have written features and reviews for The Times Literary Supplement, Lit Hub, New Humanist, Prospect, Geographical and Monocle magazines. I have also completed a short course in Creative Writing at Goldsmiths, taught by Catherine Humble. I am particularly interested in writing criticism centred on ‘big ideas’ (cultural studies, sociology, philosophy, politics) and in reviewing contemporary literary fiction. Increasingly, I also write about parenthood.
In 2022, I was shortlisted for the London Library’s ‘Emerging Writer’s Programme’. I am working on my first book and am represented by Tristan Kendrick at Rogers, Coleridge & White literary agency.
